French AI Language Expert (Remote, Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking native‑or‑near‑native French speakers to help improve AI systems that generate and teach French. As a freelance AI Language Expert, you will evaluate French speech and text, ensuring linguistic accuracy and educational quality for learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated French speech and text for naturalness, correctness, and pedagogical value.
• Review learner submissions across CEFR levels Pre‑A1 to B2+ and identify errors or awkward phrasing.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to enhance AI tutoring and language‑learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in French.
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication skills in French and English (C1/C2 level).
• Familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Currently enrolled in or holding a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• High attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.

Required skills

• Expertise in French linguistics and pedagogy.
• Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, remote environment.
