AI Language Expert – French (Remote, Hourly)

About the role

Alignerr is seeking native or near‑native French speakers to help evaluate and improve AI systems that generate and teach French. Your linguistic expertise and teaching background will directly influence how the AI understands, produces, and instructs French learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Evaluate learner speech and writing across CEFR levels from Pre‑A1 to B2+.
• Identify errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using expert judgment.
• Suggest concrete improvements to make AI output clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that enhances AI tutoring and language‑learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in French.
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication skills in French and English (C1/C2).
• Familiarity with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks.
• Currently enrolled in or holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• High attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.
